If you’ve been searching for Tracksmith Indonesia, the real thing, in-store, with people who actually run , we’ve got big news:
Kit Athletic is now listed as an official Tracksmith retail partner in Jakarta, Indonesia.
And honestly… we’re still buzzing.
Because Tracksmith isn’t just “nice running apparel.” Tracksmith is a heritage running brand built from a deep love of the sport , the kind of brand that makes you feel like training isn’t a trend… it’s a craft. Tracksmith was founded in Boston in 2014, and everything about it is rooted in the culture and competitive heart of running.
So let’s tell you the story, friend to friend , of how Tracksmith found its way to Indonesia, why “heritage” matters, and what’s coming next.
What makes Tracksmith a “heritage running brand”?
When people say heritage running brand, they don’t mean “old.” They mean deep.
Tracksmith’s heritage is built on the era and spirit that shaped modern running: the tradition of amateur competition, the rituals of race day, the culture around the track, and the pride of showing up again and again, not because it’s easy, but because it matters.
Tracksmith calls this the Amateur Spirit and the Running Class: non-professional yet competitive runners dedicated to the pursuit of personal excellence.
That idea is powerful, especially today:
-
You don’t need to be “elite” to take your training seriously.
-
You can chase PRs while still juggling work, family, and life.
-
Consistency is the flex.
-
Loving the process is the whole point.
Even the brand’s storytelling reflects this. Tracksmith has been described as a company that acts like a cultural ambassador for running, intentionally calling back to an “amateur era” feeling, and building a premium identity around the sport’s history and details.
And then there’s the Trackhouse, Tracksmith’s flagship concept: a retail store and community hub. The Boston Trackhouse sits in historic Back Bay and is positioned as “the epicenter of the Tracksmith world,” a place for runs, race livestreams, and community.
That’s what “heritage” means here: not nostalgia, tradition you can actually live inside.
We felt that spirit first-hand at Relay of the Gods (Bali 2026)
Right after our race at Relay of the Gods, Bali 2026, we experienced something that made us think:
“Yeah… this is different.”
We were testing Tracksmith gear and needed certain pieces to arrive on time — and the Tracksmith team genuinely went the extra mile. They arranged items straight from retail, got everything safely to our hotel in New York, and then those pieces travelled thousands of miles to Indonesia so we could put them through their paces.
That kind of care is rare. And it’s exactly what we mean when we talk about heritage + community: it’s not only about product. It’s about the people behind it — and how much they respect the runner’s journey.
15 February 2026: “Varsity Miles” bringing Trackhouse spirit to Jakarta
On 15 February 2026, Kit Athletic team hosted Varsity Miles , Our attempt to bring a little bit of Trackhouse energy to Jakarta.
Hundreds of enthusiastic runners joined the social run, and we chose Silk Bistro, Pakubuwono (Jakarta) as our home base led by Chef Freddy Salim. Silk Bistro has a heritage feel in its design, and that was intentional: vintage interior, deep brown tones, velvet/fabric textures… it just felt like Tracksmith.
And of course, nobody was allowed to leave hungry.
We served a full spread:
-
Silk Bistro chicken congee
-
Thai pandan donuts
-
Siu mai
-
Fresh coconut pandan sourced direct from the farm
Because running culture isn’t only pace and splits, it’s also the table you gather around afterward.
Re-introducing Tracksmith running: the collections we showcased
At Varsity Miles, we didn’t just “put product on a rack.” We wanted runners to understand the language of Tracksmith , the collections, the materials, and why they exist.
Here are a few highlights we showcased:
Van Cortlandt: race day is sacred
Van Cortlandt is Tracksmith’s original statement for racing, including the iconic singlet that has been part of the brand from the beginning. Tracksmith calls it their first product, and the collection is built around lightweight performance and classic race-kit design.
You’ll also see Tracksmith’s signature attention to fabric here like their lightweight mesh used across the Van Cortlandt line.
Session: comfort that still performs
Session is designed for the daily work , comfort, stretch, durability, versatility. Tracksmith’s own brief: “maximize comfort and performance without sacrificing versatility.”
Turnover: distance comfort + smart temperature control
Turnover is built around their Italian-made Inverno Blend — selected for comfort and breathability over longer distances, with details like a smooth durable face and a brushed back to help with temperature regulation and drying.
Strata: peak performance, down-to-the-yarn obsession
Strata is Tracksmith at its most technical: streamlined silhouettes and fabric tech aimed at racing precision. They describe obsessing “down to the yarn level” to create their most innovative gear for competitive amateurs chasing podiums or PRs.
