There is a specific kind of electricity that only exists in Jakarta just before the heat breaks. Yesterday, at 6:30 AM, Knots Senopati wasn’t just a cafe; it was the epicenter of a community in motion.
When we announced the Ridar 2026 collections launch "Point & Shoot" , we knew the energy would be high, but seeing a sea of 140++ runners gather under a perfect, rain-free sky was something else entirely. It was a reminder that while we all run for different reasons, we move better when we move together.
The beauty of the morning wasn’t in the "representation" of clubs, but in the individuals who chose to spend their Sunday with us. We had runners from 45 different run clubs and plenty of solo flyers who simply showed up to have fun and share the road. This wasn't about official delegates; it was about 140+ unique stories converging into one massive, infectious force.
As we’ve often discussed at KIT, joy is the great equaliser. Whether someone came with their team or joined a pace group solo, the hierarchy disappeared the moment the run started. With Manifestworld as our run partner, we hit an 8KM loop through the heart of Senopati across three different pace groups. In that movement, everyone found their own version of pure, joyful clarity.
As the pack rounded the final corner back to Knots, the adrenaline didn’t just fade; it transitioned into something more rhythmic. Bergasharyadita was already on the decks, his set cutting through the morning air and keeping the post-run high alive.
Between bites of Knots Senopati’s signature sweet pastries and sips of post-run fuel, the "Point & Shoot" element came to life. We wanted to document the community in its most authentic state, the sweat, the smiles, and the shared energy of people who are simply present in the moment.
The highlight of the morning was seeing the Ridar 2026 collection finally off the tables and out in the wild. This wasn't a static display; it was a performance in real-time.
Throughout the loop and into the photo sessions, the new silhouettes, the Radi, Rod, Peak, Savanna, Budd, and Sahara were being put to the test. Seeing these technical lenses catch the Sunday morning light while runners posed for their "Point & Shoot" sessions was the perfect marriage of performance and aesthetic. It wasn't just about trying on gear; it was about seeing the community through the lens of a new season.
If we learned one thing yesterday, it’s that the energy of the Jakarta run scene is truly powerful when it gathers in one place just to have fun. You could feel it in the laughter between pace groups and the way the photo sessions turned into a celebration of the miles just completed.
To every runner who joined us, to the friends from the 45 different clubs who brought their individual spirit, and to our partners Manifestworld, Knots, and Bergas thank you for making April 19th a landmark day for KIT.
The Ridar 2026 collection is now officially available at our store . Come by, find your fit, and let’s keep this energy moving. See you on the road.
