Relay of the Gods 2026: Team Kitathletic x Tracksmith

A week later and it’s still sinking in We were there to document it , chasing moments instead of splits, but Relay of the Gods 2026 still hit us in the chest the same way. This race is a true reflection that paradise has no border, pain, beauty, chaos, magic… all in one day. On 11 January 2026, in Bali, we had the privilege of capturing Team Kitathletic taking on an unguided, unsupported 160KM journey that started in Sanur, passed through Lovina, and finished in Pererenan, and somehow it felt like the island itself was part of their team.

We first heard about this race back in June. It came up in a random conversation, the kind that usually ends with “that would be crazy”, but it turned into a real plan fast. Five runners, totally different backgrounds, and most of them casual runners… yet everyone said yes. No prize money, no trophy chase, just belief, curiosity, and that simple idea that running around Bali together would be unforgettable.

With not much time left, we reached out to Tracksmith and shared what the team was about to attempt. We wanted to put Tracksmith running gear to a proper test ,not a “nice weather, short run”.  Test the real thing. That’s how the team committed to the Tracksmith Strata kit, and the test couldn’t have been more honest: they wore it from the very start until the finish, no changing, no swapping, no “fresh top” moment. Rain, heat, sweat, long hours and it held up unbelievably well: no chafing, no bad smell, and it dried fast every time. Watching it perform in real conditions made us understand why it’s serious running apparel. Huge thank you to Tracksmith for supporting this, The kit was specially arranged from a store in Brooklyn and hand-carried by friends just to reach the team on time.

The team kept the goal simple: have fun, stay safe, no injuries, and love the sport even more once it was done. They decided to split the 160KM equally among five runners, and it became clear this race is more than endurance, it’s teamwork, decision-making, and staying calm when things go sideways. Navigation is everything out there. One wrong turn and you’re suddenly doing a bonus adventure you didn’t ask for.

And then there’s Bali. It genuinely felt like this race can only exist on this island. Everywhere the runners went, there were smiles and kindness, never once did it feel like they were “in the way.” The island felt supportive in the quietest, most meaningful way, and it added something special to every kilometer. The route itself is a moving postcard: valleys, mountains, hills, paddy fields, tiny roads, traffic, quiet stretches where you can hear your own thoughts and then chaos again. It’s literally a mix of pain, beauty, and magic stitched together by pure effort.

The numbers still feel unreal: the team covered the full 160KM with 3,000m+ elevation gain, started at 3AM and finished around 6:30PM, stopping the clock at 15:28:59. No one wins a prize in this race and that’s exactly why it’s pure: it’s just heart, grit, friendship, and the choice to keep moving.

We’re launching the full video across all  platforms ,YouTube, Instagram Reels, and Stories and we can’t wait for you to experience it. Thank you Relay of the Gods, big love to Beyond Running, Continuum Athletic, and Indie Runner for hosting something that puts everything back to the core " RUNNING" . Truly: paradise has no border. If there is a will, there is a way. Unguided. Unsupported. All heart.
